Your Journey Begins at Queens College GSSP

Queens College Global Student Success Program is a required first-year experience program designed by academic experts covering all aspects of your new living and learning environment in the U.S.

As a Queens College student from day one, you will enjoy the added benefits of smaller classes where you will receive more personalized attention, access to academic advisors and tutoring as well as opportunities to connect with other international and American students through a variety of social activities, student clubs and organizations.

Begin your studies as a Queens College student with orientation programs designed to assist with your transition to the American classroom and life in the United States. From there, you have the option to participate in academic and social experiences scheduled throughout the year to help you achieve your goals and of course have fun too!

Please complete our online application form and email any required documents to admissions@queensgssp.com. Our admissions team will review your academic qualifications and let you know which entry program is the best match for you!

Required Admissions Materials**

  1. Completed online application form.
  2. Academic transcripts and other required documents, including Grades 10-12* transcripts (see academic qualifications for your country below).
    *for US curriculum, please include Grades 9-12
  3. English language proficiency results.
  4. Any transcripts from further study following high school and school grading scales.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Students applying to the Queens College Global Student Success Program must demonstrate appropriate academic preparation and proficiency in the English Language The Global Student Success Program is a first-year experience program and therefore students who have already undertaken post-secondary study are not eligible for GSSP admission but are welcome to apply for General Admission.

*Students who completed their education in the United States are required to submit SAT/ACT scores for General Admission.

English Test Waiver

All students applying to the General Admission program need to provide an English proficiency test (SAT/ACT or TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/PVT). English proficiency tests are not required for GSSP admission for students who have studies for at least two years and completed their secondary education in an English language-based curriculum. For English Waiver using an SAT, the following is required: SAT I Verbal score of 480 or higher or SAT Critical Reading score of 480 or higher or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) section score of 480 or higher.

Assessment is based on all years attended in your specific high school curriculum. The US equivalent of high school completion is required.

Age Requirements

Queens College does not accept students under 16 years of age at the commencement of their studies. Students under the age of 18 must have parental/guardian consent to attend Queens College. Application forms must be signed by a parent/guardian.

This school is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
