  • International students must be enrolled full time in all semesters the student is enrolled.
  • Student visas are usually issued for the period of the program. Students wishing to extend their study permit should first consult the Queens College Global Student Success Program (GSSP) staff for assistance.

Other Conditions

  • The student is expected to attend all classes, undertake all tests and examinations during a program, and abide by all rules and regulations of the Queens College GSSP that are in force at any time.
  • The contract between the applicant and the Queens College GSSP is governed by the laws of the United States and the state of New York.

Deferral Prior to Commencing Studies

All deferral requests must be made in writing prior to the orientation date for that semester.

After the initial acceptance to a QC GSSP or General Admission program, the student may defer their program start date by a maximum of two terms. If the student requests for any further deferrals, they must re-apply to a QC GSSP or General Admission program and submit all additional documents including but are not limited to new English test results, bank statement, and gap statement.

If a student defers their program start date, QC GSSP will hold the tuition, fees, and charges paid until the student commences their program without interest or penalty.

If the student withdraws without commencing their program or has their enrollment terminated, the Fee Refund Policy will apply.
